Cycling is occasionally difficult in this part of Montréal because bike riders are faced with a significant amount of slopes, and there are few bike lanes.

This area is quiet, as there tend to be low levels of noise from traffic - however noise can be problematic closer to one of the railway lines or Autoroute Décarie. Lastly, greenery is present in this neighbourhood; there are about 40 green spaces nearby for residents to relax in, such as Parc du Mont-Royal, which results in them being very easy to get to from a large number of locations within Côte-des-Neiges. Residents will also find that most streets have fairly good tree coverage.
