Driving is an excellent transportation option in Bowes. It is especially convenient to come across a parking spot. On the other hand, Bowes is not very transit friendly. Thankfully, residents are served by a few bus lines, and most properties are close to a bus stop. The bike is a fairly poor method of transportation in Bowes because the bicycling network is not very well-developed, and there are a fair number of hills to challenge cyclists. Many of the homes for sale in this neighbourhood are located in places that are also not very well-suited for walking as very few daily needs can be carried out on foot.


High schools and primary schools are not especially plentiful in Bowes, and accordingly may require a rather long walk to get to. Furthermore, it can be difficult to get to daycares as a pedestrian. With regards to food, some home buyers in this area may be able to access the closest grocery store on foot, while others will have to use a vehicle.


Bowes is a good neighbourhood to buy a home in for those who prefer a slower-paced ambience. This part of Milton is reasonably quiet overall, as there are generally low levels of noise from traffic.
