Transportation

This city is very car friendly. It is very easy to park. On the other hand, commuting by public transit is challenging in Ottawa. Nevertheless, residents profit from the Bayview Station, Greenboro Station and Confederation Station with access to the Trillium Line. Residents are served by various rapid transit stations with access to the 1 |, 75 |, 18 | Pré Tunney, 98 |, 97 | and 400 | Rapibus 400. The city is connected by over 200 bus lines, and it is convenient to get to a nearby bus stop from most properties. The bicycle is a sometimes poor means of transportation in Ottawa since the cycling network is not especially comprehensive, and there are a good number of elevation changes. Nevertheless, bicycling is more feasible in some pockets than others. Travelling on foot is also not very practical for house buyers in this city as very few day-to-day needs can be met by walking.

Some, but not all, property owners in Ottawa will live within walking distance of one of over 350 supermarkets. Residents can enjoy over 1900 restaurants and cafes as well. Regarding education, parents and their kids may consider it challenging to get to high schools and primary schools on foot. In addition, daycares are not particularly plentiful and accordingly not always within walking distance.

Character

Home buyers who prefer a calm ambience will enjoy Ottawa. There are over 1000 green spaces close by for residents to relax in, including Monaghan Forest Park and Sheila McKee Park, which makes it easy to reach them. Most areas in this city are quiet, as the streets are generally reasonably peaceful - although that is not the case closer to one of the railway lines, one of the 3 airports (YRP, YOW, YRO), Autoroute de la Gatineau or Highway 417.
