House buyers in this part of Ottawa almost always have to rely on a car to reach the nearest supermarket. With regards to education, high schools and primary schools are not plentiful in Metcalfe, and therefore tend to be a very long walk away. In addition, it can be very difficult to access daycares on foot.
Character
Metcalfe is very quiet, as there are generally low levels of noise from traffic. Parks are spread out sporadically, resulting in them being rather difficult to get to from the majority of locations within the neighbourhood. Still, there are approximately 10 green spaces nearby for residents to relax in, like Country Estates Parkland and McKendry Park.
