Driving is a very good medium of transportation in Headon. Many properties for sale are a rather short car ride from the closest highway, such as Highway 407, and it is convenient to park. In contrast, this part of Burlington is not very transit friendly. Thankfully, the neighbourhood is linked by a few bus lines, and it is especially convenient to reach a nearby bus stop from most homes. Commuting by bicycle is convenient in this part of the city because there are a good number of bike lanes. However, there are relatively few pedestrians out on the streets of Headon, although many day-to-day needs can be carried out without the use of a car.

It is easy to get to the nearest supermarket by walking from any home in Headon. There are also a limited number of opportunities for those who value nearby restaurants and cafes. When it comes to education, schools and daycares are easy to get to on foot from any location in this area.
Character
Headon is a good neighbourhood to buy a home in for those who prefer a slower-paced ambience. Most areas in this part of the city are reasonably quiet, as there are usually low levels of noise from traffic - although that is not the case close to Highway 407. Lastly, parks are very well-spread out and there are a few of them nearby for residents to discover, which results in them being easy to access from the majority of locations within Headon.
