The car is very often the preferred way to get around in this neighbourhood. It is very easy to park. In contrast, Vales of Humber is not a very pleasant part of Brampton for travelling by public transit. Nevertheless, there are a few bus lines passing through the neighbourhood, and most houses are near a bus stop. This part of Brampton is not very suited for bicycling because there are a good number of elevation changes for cyclists to brave, and there are very few bike lanes. A majority of the homes for sale in this area are located in places that are also not very conducive to walking as almost no common errands can be run without the use of a vehicle.

House buyers in this area almost always have to use a vehicle to access the nearest grocery store. Regarding education, primary schools are not especially abundant in Vales of Humber, and therefore often beyond walking distance, and there are no high schools. In addition, parents may find it difficult for their children to get to daycares as a pedestrian.

Vales of Humber offers a calm environment and will appeal to those who enjoy spending time in green spaces. This neighbourhood is quiet, as there are generally low levels of noise from traffic. Finally, there are a few green spaces nearby for residents to unwind in, including Carberry Park and Colonel Baldwin Pond, which makes it easy to reach them.
