Transportation
The car is very often the favoured transportation option in Barrie. Parking is generally easy, and most homes for sale are a reasonably short drive from the nearest highway, such as Highway 400. On the other hand, Barrie is not very transit friendly. Nevertheless, there is the Barrie South Station and Allandale Waterfront Station with access to the Barrie Line. The city is served by around 20 bus lines, and bus stops are not very far-removed from most homes. It is occasionally difficult for pedestrians to navigate this city since few common errands can be run without having to use a car.
Services
In Barrie, parents and their kids will generally be able to access daycares and primary schools on foot. On the other hand, it can be difficult to get to high schools as a pedestrian.
