In all but a very small number of cases, a car is needed to buy groceries. Regarding education, Brookside does not contain any high schools or primary schools. Additionally, parents and their schoolchildren may consider it very difficult to reach daycares on foot.

People who prefer a calm ambience will enjoy Brookside. There are a few public green spaces nearby for residents to explore, resulting in them being easy to get to from the majority of locations in this community. This part of the municipality is also especially quiet, as the streets are generally very calm.
