Steve Brand brings a lifetime of leadership, discipline, and precision to his real estate career—qualities forged over 40 years of service as an Airborne Infantry Officer in the Canadian Army Reserve, where he attained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel. During his distinguished military career, Steve commanded The Queen’s Own Rifles of Canada (1992–1995), completed two operational tours during the Global War on Terror—Sierra Leone (2004) and Afghanistan (2009)—and was a founding Director of the Juno Beach Centre in Normandy, France, which opened in 2004 to honour Canadian soldiers who served on D-Day and beyond. Steve also brings many decades of experience from the Powersport Industry while employed as a Sales Manager and Race Manager at Scorpion, Moto Ski, Ski Doo and Can Am. Steve co-founded Tekrider in 1996, where he launched TekVest. These experiences and his dedication to service and attention to detail define Steve’s work in real estate. A licensed Realtor since 2007, he has lived in Haliburton County since 1985 and proudly serves clients across Haliburton County, Northern Peterborough County, and the City of Kawartha Lakes. He also frequently works with buyers and sellers in the Muskoka–Algonquin Highlands corridor and the North Kawartha–Bancroft region. Steve specializes in seasonal and year-round waterfront properties, as well as large tracts of vacant land. With extensive local contacts in the building trades, he can provide valuable insight on renovations, new builds, and land development.
