The housing stock of British Properties is composed predominantly of single detached homes and row houses. Transportation
British Properties is an extremely convenient part of West Vancouver for getting around by car. The majority of real estate listings are a rather short drive from the closest highway, such as Trans-Canada Highway, and it is especially convenient to find a parking spot. However, commuting by transit can be challenging in British Properties as a result of the low service level. Nevertheless, the neighbourhood is served by a few bus lines, and most homes are very close to a bus stop. It is impractical for people walking to move around in British Properties because few common errands can be run on foot. This area is also not very amenable to bicycling as there is a considerable amount of slopes, and there are few bike lanes.
Services
A vehicle is generally needed in this part of West Vancouver to reach the closest supermarket. In terms of education, there are only a limited number of primary schools in this neighbourhood and thus they can be a rather long walk away. Moreover, British Properties does not have any high schools. Likewise, it can be challenging to access daycares as a pedestrian.
Character
The character of British Properties is exemplified by its relaxed atmosphere. This part of the municipality is very quiet overall, as there isn't a lot of street noise or city clamour. Finally, there are over 50 parks close by for residents to visit, which makes them very easy to access.
