Transportation
Guildford is especially car friendly. Parking is generally easy, and most homes for sale are a reasonably short drive from the nearest highway, such as Trans-Canada Highway. However, this part of Surrey is not very transit friendly. Nevertheless, property owners benefit from about 10 bus lines, and it is easy to find a nearby bus stop from most homes. Guildford is not very conducive to cycling as there are few bike lanes, and there are quite a few elevation changes. Travelling on foot is also not very feasible for home buyers in Guildford because running day-to-day errands is at times challenging by walking.
Services
Families will appreciate that no matter where their home is situated in this part of Surrey, daycares and primary schools are close by. However, it can be difficult to get to high schools on foot. Concerning food, reaching one of around 20 supermarkets on foot is feasible for some, but not all, house buyers in Guildford. Residents are served by over 100 restaurants and coffee shops as well.
Character
The character of Guildford is exemplified by its calm atmosphere. Most areas in this neighbourhood are reasonably quiet, as noise from streets and other parts of the city is rarely an issue - although that is not the case near Trans-Canada Highway, Highway 17 or the railway line. Lastly, public green spaces are easy to get to, since there are over 100 of them nearby for residents to discover and many homes have a park around the corner.
